Pocket Monsters
The first Pokemon cards went by the name “Pocket Monsters”. These cards were created in 1996 in Japan. Many of these cards hold a premium over many other Pokemon cards.
First 10 Generations
The first 10 generations of Pokemon are some of the most popular among collectors. The English release years are as follows:
Base Set 1999, Jungle 1999, Fossil 1999, Base Set 2 2000, Team Rocket 2000, Gym Heroes 2000, Gym Challenges 2000, Neo Genesis 2000, Neo Discovery 2001, and Neo Revelation 200.
Modern Cards
Pokemon cards are considered modern if they are 20 years old or younger. Many of these cards, if not rare*, fall into the “Bulk” category. Bulk cards must be in Mint-Near Mint Condition.
*Cards to look for: Holo Rares, V, VMax, Vstar, EX, GX, GiantMAX, Full Art, Secret Rares, Rainbow Rares, and Tag Team cards.

Bulk Cards
Cards are considered bulk if they were manufactured in 1970 or after. We pay $1 per 1000 bulk cards.
*Exceptions will be made for collections containing cards featuring prominent athletes.
Best Years
Depending on the condition and player, cards before 1970 can have more value.
Better Players
Please separate better cards from the rest of your collection. Higher premiums usually lie with cards featuring star players and their rookie cards, or notable personalities.

Sealed Packs & Boxes
Sealed packs and boxes vary in value and must be brought in to confirm that they are in original condition before receiving a value.
Graded Cards
To receive a higher premium, graded cards must be graded by PSA, CGC, or Beckett when determining the value of a card.
