Dollar Coins from 1878-1935
Morgan & Peace Dollars
When referring to silver dollars, typically they are Morgan Dollars (1878-1921) or Peace Dollars (1921-1935). These coins are 90% silver and hold both an investment value and collectability value.
These coins have a wide range of value. We will need to see your coin in person to give it an accurate price.
Non-Silver Dollars
Susan B. Anthony Dollars (1979-1999) and Eisenhower Ike Dollars (1971-1978) are not silver*.
*40% Silver Eisenhower Dollars can be found in silver proof sets.
Things to Know
All years and mint locations have different rarities. Age does not always indicate rarity.
Keep in mind to not clean or alter your coin in any way, this will hurt the value.
Other US Coins
Half Dollars
Half Dollars from 1970 and before contain silver. Most halves after 1970* contain no silver and are worth 50c.
1964 and before halves are 90% Silver
1965-1970 halves are 40% Silver
*Silver Halves are available in 1976, and 1992-current date in Silver Proof sets.
Quarters
Modern quarters (1965-Now) are worth 25c. This also includes the Bicentennial, State, Territory, “America the Beautiful” National Park, and The American Women Series quarters.
Quarters from 1964 and before* are 90% silver.
*Silver Quarters are also available in 1976, and 1992-current date in Silver Proof sets.
Dimes
Modern dimes (1965-Now) are worth 10 cents.
Dimes from 1964 and before* are 90% silver.
*Silver Dimes are available in Silver Proof sets from 1992 to date.
Nickels
Modern Nickels including Jefferson, Westward Journey, and alternate designs are valued at 5 cents.
Prices for nickels before 1938 are condition-based.
Silver War Nickels* from 1942 to 1945 are 35% silver.
*Please note, the mint mark needs to be above the building on the reverse for the coin to be a Silver War Nickel
Cents
Modern Cents, 1959 to date, Lincoln Memorial, Lincoln Bicentennial, and Lincoln Shield Pennies are all valued at 1 cent.
1958 and before cents are appraised and purchased based on date and condition.
Proof & Mint Sets
Most modern Proof & Mint Set coins are face value.
Silver proof sets are purchased at the current silver rate.
Special mint sets must be appraised in person to receive a quote.
Foreign Currency
All currency will need to be appraised in-store to receive an accurate value.
Silver Foreign Coins
Non-bullion silver foreign coins are coins that were used as currency with any percentage of silver at any point in time.
*Most modern foreign coins do not contain any silver as they are too expensive to produce.
Clad Foreign Coins
Most modern foreign coins are clad; being made of non-precious metals. These coins tend to hold very little value and are purchased by the pound.

Minor modern errors tend to have very little value. Typically, the bigger the error the bigger the value.

Ancient coins are commonly from 1800-2400 years ago and are typically Roman or Greek.
Authentic Ancient Coins
When purchasing higher-end ancient coins, we strongly encourage buying only certified coins.
Pricing
There is a wide range of value depending on the year and location in which the coin was minted. The coin must be seen in-store to determine condition and value.
